Bow down before the Holy One when he appears; tremble before him, all the earth!

Everyone who was there joined in worship, and the singing and the rest of the music continued until all the sacrifices had been burned.

Then King Hezekiah and all the people knelt down and worshiped God.

The king and the leaders of the nation told the Levites to sing to the Lord the songs of praise that were written by David and by Asaph the prophet. So everyone sang with great joy as they knelt and worshiped God.

Ezra said, “Praise the Lord, the God of our ancestors! He has made the emperor willing to honor in this way the Temple of the Lord in Jerusalem.

On the day you fight your enemies, your people will volunteer. Like the dew of early morning your young men will come to you on the sacred hills.

Tremble, earth, at the Lord's coming, at the presence of the God of Jacob,

Praise the Lord's glorious name; bow down before the Holy One when he appears.

Worship the Lord, all the earth! Honor him, all peoples of the world!

Give the Lord your God what you promised him; bring gifts to him, all you nearby nations. God makes everyone fear him;

But you, Lord, are feared by all. No one can stand in your presence when you are angry.

The Lord is king, and the people tremble. He sits on his throne above the winged creatures, and the earth shakes.

Once they were proud of their beautiful jewels, but they used them to make disgusting idols. That is why the Lord has made their wealth repulsive to them.

He will even set up his huge royal tents between the sea and the mountain on which the Temple stands. But he will die, with no one there to help him.”
