The Lord is great and is to be highly praised; he is to be honored more than all the gods.

I am building a temple to honor the Lord my God. It will be a holy place where my people and I will worship him by burning incense of fragrant spices, where we will present offerings of sacred bread to him continuously, and where we will offer burnt offerings every morning and evening, as well as on Sabbaths, New Moon Festivals, and other holy days honoring the Lord our God. He has commanded Israel to do this forever.

The following Levites gave a call to worship: Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah. They said: “Stand up and praise the Lord your God; praise him forever and ever! Let everyone praise his glorious name, although no human praise is great enough.”

The Lord is great and is to be highly praised; his greatness is beyond understanding.

Praise him for the mighty things he has done. Praise his supreme greatness.

I call to the Lord, and he saves me from my enemies. Praise the Lord!

The Lord is great and is to be highly praised in the city of our God, on his sacred hill.

Say to God, “How wonderful are the things you do! Your power is so great that your enemies bow down in fear before you.

Come and see what God has done, his wonderful acts among people.

But you, Lord, are feared by all. No one can stand in your presence when you are angry.

You are mighty and do wonderful things; you alone are God.

You are feared in the council of the holy ones; they all stand in awe of you.

For the Lord is a mighty God, a mighty king over all the gods.

Now I know that the Lord is greater than all the gods, because he did this when the Egyptians treated the Israelites with such contempt.”

I am the Lord; why don't you fear me? Why don't you tremble before me? I placed the sand as the boundary of the sea, a permanent boundary that it cannot cross. The sea may toss, but it cannot go beyond it; the waves may roar, but they cannot break through.

The king said, “Your God is the greatest of all gods, the Lord over kings, and the one who reveals mysteries. I know this because you have been able to explain this mystery.”

I will show you whom to fear: fear God, who, after killing, has the authority to throw into hell. Believe me, he is the one you must fear!

Who will not stand in awe of you, Lord? Who will refuse to declare your greatness? You alone are holy. All the nations will come and worship you, because your just actions are seen by all.”

Who can save us from those powerful gods? They are the gods who slaughtered the Egyptians in the desert!
