He will bless everyone who honors him, the great and the small alike.

Happy are those whose lives are faultless, who live according to the law of the Lord.

I will keep my solemn promise to obey your just instructions.

Your commandments are my eternal possession; they are the joy of my heart.

Your righteousness will last forever, and your law is always true.

Save me from the insults I fear; how wonderful are your judgments!

In the middle of the night I wake up to praise you for your righteous judgments.

As I learn your righteous judgments, I will praise you with a pure heart.

I know that your judgments are righteous, Lord, and that you punished me because you are faithful.

The wicked are everywhere, and everyone praises what is evil. Keep us always safe, O Lord, and preserve us from such people.

He gives his message to his people, his instructions and laws to Israel.

Sin speaks to the wicked deep in their hearts; they reject God and do not have reverence for him.

Your righteousness is towering like the mountains; your justice is like the depths of the sea. People and animals are in your care.

“Give the Israelites the following laws:

To honor the Lord is to hate evil; I hate pride and arrogance, evil ways and false words.

We follow your will and put our hope in you; you are all that we desire.

I have not spoken in secret or kept my purpose hidden. I did not require the people of Israel to look for me in a desolate waste. I am the Lord, and I speak the truth; I make known what is right.”

“Captain Cornelius sent us,” they answered. “He is a good man who worships God and is highly respected by all the Jewish people. An angel of God told him to invite you to his house, so that he could hear what you have to say.”

Here we see how kind and how severe God is. He is severe toward those who have fallen, but kind to you—if you continue in his kindness. But if you do not, you too will be broken off.

We know that God is right when he judges the people who do such things as these.

No other nation, no matter how great, has laws so just as those that I have taught you today.

and singing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb: “Lord God Almighty, how great and wonderful are your deeds! King of the nations, how right and true are your ways!

Then I heard a voice from the altar saying, “Lord God Almighty! True and just indeed are your judgments!”

True and just are his judgments! He has condemned the prostitute who was corrupting the earth with her immorality. God has punished her because she killed his servants.”

Obey the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. Remember the great things he has done for you.
