So his wife and all his friends suggested, “Why don't you have a gallows built, seventy-five feet tall? Tomorrow morning you can ask the king to have Mordecai hanged on it, and then you can go to the banquet happy.” Haman thought this was a good idea, so he had the gallows built.

So Haman was hanged on the gallows that he had built for Mordecai. Then the king's anger cooled down.

He will destroy them because of those words; all who see them will shake their heads.

So they are punished by their own evil and are hurt by their own violence.

He will punish them for their wickedness and destroy them for their sins; the Lord our God will destroy them.

A good person's words are a fountain of life, but a wicked person's words hide a violent nature.

Good people will receive blessings. The words of the wicked hide a violent nature.

The wicked are trapped by their own words, but honest people get themselves out of trouble.

When a fool speaks, he is ruining himself; he gets caught in the trap of his own words.

The whole crowd answered, “Let the responsibility for his death fall on us and on our children!”

But I could not let their enemies boast that they had defeated my people, when it was I myself who had crushed them.’
