Good News Translation

They cut deep wounds in my back and made it like a plowed field.

Can you hold one with a rope and make him plow? Or make him pull a harrow in your fields?

Like wood that is split and chopped into bits, so their bones are scattered at the edge of the grave.

I bared my back to those who beat me. I did not stop them when they insulted me, when they pulled out the hairs of my beard and spit in my face.

I will give it to those who oppressed you, to those who made you lie down in the streets and trampled on you as if you were dirt.”
