Good News Translation

Aaron obeyed and placed the lamps facing the front of the lampstand.

the lampstand of pure gold, its lamps, all its equipment, and the oil for the lamps;

and there in the Lord's presence he lit the lamps, just as the Lord had commanded.

“Tell Aaron that when he puts the seven lamps on the lampstand, he should place them so that the light shines toward the front.”

From top to bottom the lampstand was made of hammered gold, according to the pattern that the Lord had shown Moses.

No one lights a lamp and puts it under a bowl; instead it is put on the lampstand, where it gives light for everyone in the house.
