I brought you out of Egypt; I rescued you from slavery; I sent Moses, Aaron, and Miriam to lead you.

There is no other nation on earth like Israel, whom you rescued from slavery to make them your own people. The great and wonderful things you did for them have spread your fame throughout the world. You drove out other nations and their gods as your people advanced, the people whom you set free from Egypt to be your own.

You led your people like a shepherd, with Moses and Aaron in charge.

On that day the Lord brought the Israelite tribes out of Egypt.

“I am the Lord your God who brought you out of Egypt, where you were slaves.

Now I am sending you to the king of Egypt so that you can lead my people out of his country.”

But Moses said, “No, Lord, don't send me. I have never been a good speaker, and I haven't become one since you began to speak to me. I am a poor speaker, slow and hesitant.”

He will be your spokesman and speak to the people for you. Then you will be like God, telling him what to say.

They were the men who told the king of Egypt to free the Israelites.

By means of miracles and wonders that terrified our enemies, you used your power and might to bring your people Israel out of Egypt.

I brought you out of Egypt, led you through the desert for forty years, and gave you the land of the Amorites to be your own.

Moses had married a Cushite woman, and Miriam and Aaron criticized him for it.

The following account gives the names of the places where the Israelites set up camp after they left Egypt in their tribes under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.

He led the people out of Egypt, performing miracles and wonders in Egypt and at the Red Sea and for forty years in the desert.

Has any god ever dared to go and take a people from another nation and make them his own, as the Lord your God did for you in Egypt? Before your very eyes he used his great power and strength; he brought plagues and war, worked miracles and wonders, and caused terrifying things to happen.

‘I am the Lord your God, who rescued you from Egypt, where you were slaves.

But the Lord loved you and wanted to keep the promise that he made to your ancestors. That is why he saved you by his great might and set you free from slavery to the king of Egypt.

And I prayed, ‘Sovereign Lord, don't destroy your own people, the people you rescued and brought out of Egypt by your great strength and power.

Samuel continued, “The Lord is the one who chose Moses and Aaron and who brought your ancestors out of Egypt.
