Jesus got into the boat and went back across the lake to his own town,
He did not stay in Nazareth, but went to live in Capernaum, a town by Lake Galilee, in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali.
“Do not give what is holy to dogs—they will only turn and attack you. Do not throw your pearls in front of pigs—they will only trample them underfoot.
When Jesus noticed the crowd around him, he ordered his disciples to go to the other side of the lake.
Jesus got into a boat, and his disciples went with him.
Jesus went back across to the other side of the lake. There at the lakeside a large crowd gathered around him.
Then all the people from that territory asked Jesus to go away, because they were terribly afraid. So Jesus got into the boat and left.
When Jesus returned to the other side of the lake, the people welcomed him, because they had all been waiting for him.
Whoever is evil must go on doing evil, and whoever is filthy must go on being filthy; whoever is good must go on doing good, and whoever is holy must go on being holy.”
