“Ask, and you will receive; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.

On that day Isaac's servants came and told him about the well which they had dug. They said, “We have found water.”

That night the Lord appeared to him in a dream and asked him, “What would you like me to give you?”

You will listen, O Lord, to the prayers of the lowly; you will give them courage.

The wicked do not care about the Lord; in their pride they think that God doesn't matter.

I praise you, O Lord; teach me your ways.

When you said, “Come worship me,” I answered, “I will come, Lord.”

I prayed to the Lord, and he answered me; he freed me from all my fears.

Seek your happiness in the Lord, and he will give you your heart's desire.

Call to me when trouble comes; I will save you, and you will praise me.”

When the oppressed see this, they will be glad; those who worship God will be encouraged.

May all who come to you be glad and joyful. May all who are thankful for your salvation always say, “How great is God!”

You are good to us and forgiving, full of constant love for all who pray to you.

I love those who love me; whoever looks for me can find me.

I went wandering through the city, through its streets and alleys. I looked for the one I love. I looked, but couldn't find him.

You people who live in Jerusalem will not weep any more. The Lord is compassionate, and when you cry to him for help, he will answer you.

“Call to me, and I will answer you; I will tell you wonderful and marvelous things that you know nothing about.

The Lord says to the people of Israel, “Come to me, and you will live.

“And I tell you more: whenever two of you on earth agree about anything you pray for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.

If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer.”

Instead, be concerned above everything else with the Kingdom of God and with what he requires of you, and he will provide you with all these other things.

As bad as you are, you know how to give good things to your children. How much more, then, will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!

For everyone who asks will receive, and anyone who seeks will find, and the door will be opened to those who knock.

For this reason I tell you: When you pray and ask for something, believe that you have received it, and you will be given whatever you ask for.

The master of the house will get up and close the door; then when you stand outside and begin to knock on the door and say, ‘Open the door for us, sir!’ he will answer you, ‘I don't know where you come from!’

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to teach them that they should always pray and never become discouraged.

You did not choose me; I chose you and appointed you to go and bear much fruit, the kind of fruit that endures. And so the Father will give you whatever you ask of him in my name.

If you remain in me and my words remain in you, then you will ask for anything you wish, and you shall have it.

Jesus answered, “If you only knew what God gives and who it is that is asking you for a drink, you would ask him, and he would give you life-giving water.”

Some people keep on doing good, and seek glory, honor, and immortal life; to them God will give eternal life.

no one who is wise or who worships God.

No one can please God without faith, for whoever comes to God must have faith that God exists and rewards those who seek him.

This prayer made in faith will heal the sick; the Lord will restore them to health, and the sins they have committed will be forgiven.

We receive from him whatever we ask, because we obey his commands and do what pleases him.
