So when the men who were the first to be hired came to be paid, they thought they would get more; but they too were given a silver coin each.

When the Jews saw the crowds, they were filled with jealousy; they disputed what Paul was saying and insulted him.

They even tried to stop us from preaching to the Gentiles the message that would bring them salvation. In this way they have brought to completion all the sins they have always committed. And now God's anger has at last come down on them!

These people are always grumbling and blaming others; they follow their own evil desires; they brag about themselves and flatter others in order to get their own way.
