“How terrible it will be for you, Chorazin! How terrible for you too, Bethsaida! If the miracles which were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, the people there would have long ago put on sackcloth and sprinkled ashes on themselves, to show that they had turned from their sins!

They begged him to let the sick at least touch the edge of his cloak; and all who touched it were made well.

He touched her hand; the fever left her, and she got up and began to wait on him.

Jesus reached out and touched him. “I do want to,” he answered. “Be clean!” At once the man was healed of his disease.

Then Jesus touched their eyes and said, “Let it happen, then, just as you believe!”—

when four men arrived, carrying a paralyzed man to Jesus.

He had healed many people, and all the sick kept pushing their way to him in order to touch him.

At once Jesus made his disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to Bethsaida, on the other side of the lake, while he sent the crowd away.

“How terrible it will be for you, Chorazin! How terrible for you too, Bethsaida! If the miracles which were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, the people there would have long ago sat down, put on sackcloth, and sprinkled ashes on themselves, to show that they had turned from their sins!

The apostles came back and told Jesus everything they had done. He took them with him, and they went off by themselves to a town named Bethsaida.

Philip was from Bethsaida, the town where Andrew and Peter lived.)

They went to Philip (he was from Bethsaida in Galilee) and said, “Sir, we want to see Jesus.”
