Mark 7:37

Good News Translation

And all who heard were completely amazed. “How well he does everything!” they exclaimed. “He even causes the deaf to hear and the dumb to speak!”

God looked at everything he had made, and he was very pleased. Evening passed and morning came—that was the sixth day.

I praise you because you are to be feared; all you do is strange and wonderful. I know it with all my heart.

When that day comes, the deaf will be able to hear a book being read aloud, and the blind, who have been living in darkness, will open their eyes and see.

As the men were leaving, some people brought to Jesus a man who could not talk because he had a demon.

The people were all so amazed that they started saying to one another, “What is this? Is it some kind of new teaching? This man has authority to give orders to the evil spirits, and they obey him!”

While they all watched, the man got up, picked up his mat, and hurried away. They were all completely amazed and praised God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!”

But they were terribly afraid and began to say to one another, “Who is this man? Even the wind and the waves obey him!”

She got up at once and started walking around. (She was twelve years old.) When this happened, they were completely amazed.

Then he got into the boat with them, and the wind died down. The disciples were completely amazed,

Then Jesus ordered the people not to speak of it to anyone; but the more he ordered them not to, the more they told it.

Not long afterward another large crowd came together. When the people had nothing left to eat, Jesus called the disciples to him and said,

Ours, however, is only right, because we are getting what we deserve for what we did; but he has done no wrong.”

When the crowds saw what Paul had done, they started shouting in their own Lycaonian language, “The gods have become like men and have come down to us!”
