Good News Translation

Then Jesus took the five loaves and the two fish, looked up to heaven, and gave thanks to God. He broke the loaves and gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all.

After saying this, Paul took some bread, gave thanks to God before them all, broke it, and began to eat.

Those who think highly of a certain day do so in honor of the Lord; those who will eat anything do so in honor of the Lord, because they give thanks to God for the food. Those who refuse to eat certain things do so in honor of the Lord, and they give thanks to God.

Well, whatever you do, whether you eat or drink, do it all for God's glory.

You will have all you want to eat, and you will give thanks to the Lord your God for the fertile land that he has given you.

Everything you do or say, then, should be done in the name of the Lord Jesus, as you give thanks through him to God the Father.
