Good News Translation

When John's disciples heard about this, they came and got his body, and buried it.

They buried him in the royal tombs in David's City in recognition of the service he had done for the people of Israel, for God, and for the Temple.

John's disciples came, carried away his body, and buried it; then they went and told Jesus.

then he brought it on a plate and gave it to the girl, who gave it to her mother.

The apostles returned and met with Jesus, and told him all they had done and taught.

Some devout men buried Stephen, mourning for him with loud cries.
