Wicked people do not really gain anything, but if you do what is right, you are certain to be rewarded.

If you wait until the wind and the weather are just right, you will never plant anything and never harvest anything.

Do your planting in the morning and in the evening, too. You never know whether it will all grow well or whether one planting will do better than the other.

How happy everyone will be with plenty of water for the crops and safe pasture everywhere for the donkeys and cattle.

Jesus answered, “The knowledge about the secrets of the Kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.

He used parables to tell them many things. “Once there was a man who went out to sow grain.

Jesus told them still another parable: “The Kingdom of heaven is like this. A woman takes some yeast and mixes it with a bushel of flour until the whole batch of dough rises.”

“Turn away from your sins,” he said, “because the Kingdom of heaven is near!”

From that time Jesus began to preach his message: “Turn away from your sins, because the Kingdom of heaven is near!”

Those who have something will be given more, and those who have nothing will have taken away from them even the little they have.”

He sleeps at night, is up and about during the day, and all the while the seeds are sprouting and growing. Yet he does not know how it happens.

Jesus asked, “What is the Kingdom of God like? What shall I compare it with?

“This is what the parable means: the seed is the word of God.

“Once there was a man who went out to sow grain. As he scattered the seed in the field, some of it fell along the path, where it was stepped on, and the birds ate it up.

I am telling you the truth: a grain of wheat remains no more than a single grain unless it is dropped into the ground and dies. If it does die, then it produces many grains.

And goodness is the harvest that is produced from the seeds the peacemakers plant in peace.
