Then Jesus asked them, “Don't you understand this parable? How, then, will you ever understand any parable?

He used parables to tell them many things. “Once there was a man who went out to sow grain.

The sower sows God's message.

Then Jesus said to them, “How foolish you are, how slow you are to believe everything the prophets said!

I rebuke and punish all whom I love. Be in earnest, then, and turn from your sins.
