There they tried to give him wine mixed with a drug called myrrh, but Jesus would not drink it.

When I was hungry, they gave me poison; when I was thirsty, they offered me vinegar.

The disciples did as Jesus had told them and prepared the Passover meal.

There they offered Jesus wine mixed with a bitter substance; but after tasting it, he would not drink it.

I tell you, I will never again drink this wine until the day I drink the new wine in the Kingdom of God.”

I tell you that from now on I will not drink this wine until the Kingdom of God comes.”
