And they said many other insulting things to him.
People passing by shook their heads and hurled insults at Jesus:
Then some teachers of the Law said to themselves, “This man is speaking blasphemy!”
“Whoever says a word against the Son of Man can be forgiven; but whoever says evil things against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven.
Many times I had them punished in the synagogues and tried to make them deny their faith. I was so furious with them that I even went to foreign cities to persecute them.
