“In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected people.

For a long time the judge refused to act, but at last he said to himself, ‘Even though I don't fear God or respect people,

Then he sent a third slave; the tenants wounded him, too, and threw him out.

But when the tenants saw him, they said to one another, ‘This is the owner's son. Let's kill him, and his property will be ours!’

A voice said from the cloud, “This is my Son, whom I have chosen—listen to him!”

I have seen it,” said John, “and I tell you that he is the Son of God.”

What the Law could not do, because human nature was weak, God did. He condemned sin in human nature by sending his own Son, who came with a nature like our sinful nature, to do away with sin.

But when the right time finally came, God sent his own Son. He came as the son of a human mother and lived under the Jewish Law,
