“In a certain town there was a judge who neither feared God nor respected people.
A good person knows the rights of the poor, but wicked people cannot understand such things.
The highways are so dangerous that no one travels on them. Treaties are broken and agreements are violated. No one is respected any more.
And there was a widow in that same town who kept coming to him and pleading for her rights, saying, ‘Help me against my opponent!’
For a long time the judge refused to act, but at last he said to himself, ‘Even though I don't fear God or respect people,
Then the owner of the vineyard said, ‘What shall I do? I will send my own dear son; surely they will respect him!’
In the case of our human fathers, they punished us and we respected them. How much more, then, should we submit to our spiritual Father and live!
