Good News Translation

As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man who had been born blind.

The blind will be able to see, and the deaf will hear.

Two blind men who were sitting by the road heard that Jesus was passing by, so they began to shout, “Son of David! Have mercy on us, sir!”

Jesus left that place, and as he walked along, two blind men started following him. “Have mercy on us, Son of David!” they shouted.

“How long has he been like this?” Jesus asked the father. “Ever since he was a child,” he replied.

Among them was a woman who had suffered from severe bleeding for twelve years; she had spent all she had on doctors, but no one had been able to cure her.

A man was there who had been sick for thirty-eight years.

Then they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and left the Temple.

His disciples asked him, “Teacher, whose sin caused him to be born blind? Was it his own or his parents' sin?”

In Lystra there was a crippled man who had been lame from birth and had never been able to walk.

The natives saw the snake hanging on Paul's hand and said to one another, “This man must be a murderer, but Fate will not let him live, even though he escaped from the sea.”

The man on whom this miracle of healing had been performed was over forty years old.

There he met a man named Aeneas, who was paralyzed and had not been able to get out of bed for eight years.
