In the field the mother deer abandons her newborn fawn because there is no grass.

“Naphtali is a deer that runs free, Who bears lovely fawns.

The Lord's voice shakes the oaks and strips the leaves from the trees while everyone in his Temple shouts, “Glory to God!”

Nimrim Brook is dry, the grass beside it has withered, and nothing green is left.

The cattle are bellowing in distress because there is no pasture for them; the flocks of sheep also suffer.
