Then the Lord said to me, “Go to the cities of Judah and to the streets of Jerusalem. Proclaim my message there and tell the people to listen to the terms of the covenant and to obey them.

“I have taught you all the laws, as the Lord my God told me to do. Obey them in the land that you are about to invade and occupy.

Do not deceive yourselves by just listening to his word; instead, put it into practice.
