Judah went up to Joseph and said, “Please, sir, allow me to speak with you freely. Don't be angry with me; you are like the king himself.

Abraham said, “Please don't be angry, Lord, but I must speak again. What if there are only thirty?” He said, “I will not do it if I find thirty.”

But when the servants told Queen Vashti of the king's command, she refused to come. This made the king furious.

Now, Job, listen to what I am saying; be quiet and let me speak.

Lord, will you be angry with us forever? Will your anger continue to burn like fire?

Aaron answered, “Don't be angry with me; you know how determined these people are to do evil.

The king's anger is like the roar of a lion, but his favor is like welcome rain.

Now then, as soon as you hear the sound of the trumpets, oboes, lyres, zithers, harps, and all the other instruments, bow down and worship the statue. If you do not, you will immediately be thrown into a blazing furnace. Do you think there is any god who can save you?”

He was so great that people of all nations, races, and languages were afraid of him and trembled. If he wanted to kill someone, he did; if he wanted to keep someone alive, he did. He honored or disgraced anyone he wanted to.

Nor does the Father himself judge anyone. He has given his Son the full right to judge,

“My friends, I must speak to you plainly about our famous ancestor King David. He died and was buried, and his grave is here with us to this very day.
