Genesis 27:27

Good News Translation

As he came up to kiss him, Isaac smelled his clothes—so he gave him his blessing. He said, “The pleasant smell of my son is like the smell of a field which the Lord has blessed.

Isaac sowed crops in that land, and that year he harvested a hundred times as much as he had sown, because the Lord blessed him.

About the tribe of Joseph he said: “May the Lord bless their land with rain And with water from under the earth.

It was faith that made Isaac promise blessings for the future to Jacob and Esau.

God blesses the soil which drinks in the rain that often falls on it and which grows plants that are useful to those for whom it is cultivated.
