Because of her the king treated Abram well and gave him flocks of sheep and goats, cattle, donkeys, slaves, and camels.

And so there was not enough pasture land for the two of them to stay together, because they had too many animals.

Abraham was now very old, and the Lord had blessed him in everything he did.

“The Lord has greatly blessed my master and made him a rich man. He has given him flocks of sheep and goats, cattle, silver, gold, male and female slaves, camels, and donkeys.

Because he had many herds of sheep and cattle and many servants, the Philistines were jealous of him.

In this way Jacob became very wealthy. He had many flocks, slaves, camels, and donkeys.

You have always protected him and his family and everything he owns. You bless everything he does, and you have given him enough cattle to fill the whole country.

and owned seven thousand sheep, three thousand camels, one thousand head of cattle, and five hundred donkeys. He also had a large number of servants and was the richest man in the East.

It is the Lord's blessing that makes you wealthy. Hard work can make you no richer.

Instead, be concerned above everything else with the Kingdom of God and with what he requires of you, and he will provide you with all these other things.

Remember that it is the Lord your God who gives you the power to become rich. He does this because he is still faithful today to the covenant that he made with your ancestors.

Physical exercise has some value, but spiritual exercise is valuable in every way, because it promises life both for the present and for the future.

He makes some people poor and others rich; he humbles some and makes others great.
