God will surely break the heads of his enemies, of those who persist in their sinful ways.

If you keep on refusing, then I will bring locusts into your country tomorrow.

I told you to let my son go, so that he might worship me, but you refused. Now I am going to kill your first-born son.’”

Then Moses and Aaron went to the king of Egypt and said, “The Lord, the God of Israel, says, ‘Let my people go, so that they can hold a festival in the desert to honor me.’”

If you refuse, I will punish your country by covering it with frogs.

The Lord then said to Moses, “Early tomorrow morning meet with the king and tell him that the Lord, the God of the Hebrews, says, ‘Let my people go, so that they may worship me.

I will punish you by sending a terrible disease on all your animals—your horses, donkeys, camels, cattle, sheep, and goats.

But if you defy me, you are doomed to die. I, the Lord, have spoken.”

Other people are selfish and reject what is right, in order to follow what is wrong; on them God will pour out his anger and fury.

They were burned by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God, who has authority over these plagues. But they would not turn from their sins and praise his greatness.
