At that time I also discovered that many of the Jewish men had married women from Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab.

The enemies robbed her of all her treasures. She saw them enter the Temple itself, Where the Lord had forbidden Gentiles to go.

“You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your friends, hate your enemies.’

“No one born out of wedlock or any descendant of such a person, even in the tenth generation, may be included among the Lord's people.

The man answered, “In that case I will give up my right to buy the field, because it would mean that my own children would not inherit it. You buy it; I would rather not.”
