Good News Translation

But when our time with them was over, we left and went on our way. All of them, together with their wives and children, went with us out of the city to the beach, where we all knelt and prayed.

After Solomon had finished praying to the Lord, he stood up in front of the altar, where he had been kneeling with uplifted hands.

All the men of Judah, with their wives and children, were standing there at the Temple.

That day many sacrifices were offered, and the people were full of joy because God had made them very happy. The women and the children joined in the celebration, and the noise they all made could be heard for miles.

Come, let us bow down and worship him; let us kneel before the Lord, our Maker!

The number of men who ate was about five thousand, not counting the women and children.

A man suffering from a dreaded skin disease came to Jesus, knelt down, and begged him for help. “If you want to,” he said, “you can make me clean.”

If you are not willing to serve him, decide today whom you will serve, the gods your ancestors worshiped in Mesopotamia or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are now living. As for my family and me, we will serve the Lord.”

Every one of the commandments of Moses was read by Joshua to the whole gathering, which included women and children, as well as the foreigners living among them.
