So they proposed two men: Joseph, who was called Barsabbas (also known as Justus), and Matthias.

The sailors said to each other, “Let's draw lots and find out who is to blame for getting us into this danger.” They did so, and Jonah's name was drawn.

Then they drew lots to choose between the two men, and the one chosen was Matthias, who was added to the group of eleven apostles.

Then the apostles and the elders, together with the whole church, decided to choose some men from the group and send them to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas. They chose two men who were highly respected by the believers, Judas, called Barsabbas, and Silas,
