2 Timothy 1:3

Good News Translation

I give thanks to God, whom I serve with a clear conscience, as my ancestors did. I thank him as I remember you always in my prayers night and day.

We are proud that our conscience assures us that our lives in this world, and especially our relations with you, have been ruled by God-given frankness and sincerity, by the power of God's grace and not by human wisdom.

I was ahead of most other Jews of my age in my practice of the Jewish religion, and was much more devoted to the traditions of our ancestors.

I have not stopped giving thanks to God for you. I remember you in my prayers

Day and night we ask him with all our heart to let us see you personally and supply what is needed in your faith.

and keep your faith and a clear conscience. Some people have not listened to their conscience and have made a ruin of their faith.

The purpose of this order is to arouse the love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and a genuine faith.

A widow who is all alone, with no one to take care of her, has placed her hope in God and continues to pray and ask him for his help night and day.

I remember the sincere faith you have, the kind of faith that your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice also had. I am sure that you have it also.

and you remember that ever since you were a child, you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

As for me, the Lord forbid that I should sin against him by no longer praying for you. Instead, I will teach you what is good and right for you to do.
