Good News Translation

Then he sent for Joab, to ask him to go to the king for him; but Joab would not come. Again Absalom sent for him, and again Joab refused to come.

Absalom lived two years in Jerusalem without seeing the king.

But when the servants told Queen Vashti of the king's command, she refused to come. This made the king furious.

He sent his servants to tell the invited guests to come to the feast, but they did not want to come.
