Good News Translation

I gave you his kingdom and his wives; I made you king over Israel and Judah. If this had not been enough, I would have given you twice as much.

The Lord is our protector and glorious king, blessing us with kindness and honor. He does not refuse any good thing to those who do what is right.

But you, O Lord, are a merciful and loving God, always patient, always kind and faithful.

Certainly not God, who did not even keep back his own Son, but offered him for us all! He gave us his Son—will he not also freely give us all things?

Why, then, did you not obey him? Why did you rush to grab the loot, and so do what displeases the Lord?”
