“How could I ever be that powerful?” Hazael asked. “I'm a nobody!” “The Lord has shown me that you will be king of Syria,” Elisha replied.
Mephibosheth bowed again and said, “I am no better than a dead dog, sir! Why should you be so good to me?”
The Lord said, “Return to the wilderness near Damascus, then enter the city and anoint Hazael as king of Syria;

An evil gang is around me; like a pack of dogs they close in on me; they tear at my hands and feet.

How terrible it will be for those who lie awake and plan evil! When morning comes, as soon as they have the chance, they do the evil they planned.
“Do not give what is holy to dogs—they will only turn and attack you. Do not throw your pearls in front of pigs—they will only trample them underfoot.
Watch out for those who do evil things, those dogs, those who insist on cutting the body.
But outside the city are the perverts and those who practice magic, the immoral and the murderers, those who worship idols and those who are liars both in words and deeds.
