Isaac was now old and had become blind. He sent for his older son Esau and said to him, “Son!” “Yes,” he answered.

Jacob's eyesight was failing because of his age, and he could not see very well. Joseph brought the boys to him, and he hugged them and kissed them.

Eli was now ninety-eight years old and almost completely blind.)
