He said, “Praise the Lord God of Israel! He has kept the promise he made to my father David, when he told him,

When he had finished offering the sacrifices, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord Almighty

“And now, Lord God, fulfill for all time the promise you made about me and my descendants, and do what you said you would.

“Go and tell my servant David that I say to him, ‘You are not the one to build a temple for me to live in.

Praise the Lord, the God of Israel! Praise him now and forever! Then all the people said, “Amen,” and praised the Lord.

He will be the one to build a temple for me, and I will make sure that his dynasty continues forever.

He will build a temple for me. He will be my son, and I will be his father. His dynasty will rule Israel forever.’”

There in front of the whole assembly King David praised the Lord. He said, “Lord God of our ancestor Jacob, may you be praised forever and ever!

Then David commanded the people, “Praise the Lord your God!” And the whole assembly praised the Lord, the God of their ancestors, and they bowed low and gave honor to the Lord and also to the king.

On the fourth day they assembled in Beracah Valley and praised the Lord for all he had done. That is why the valley is called “Beracah.”

He said, “Praise the Lord God of Israel! He has kept the promise he made to my father David when he said to him,

The following Levites gave a call to worship: Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah, Sherebiah, Hodiah, Shebaniah, and Pethahiah. They said: “Stand up and praise the Lord your God; praise him forever and ever! Let everyone praise his glorious name, although no human praise is great enough.”

But we, the living, will give thanks to him now and forever. Praise the Lord!

I face your holy Temple, bow down, and praise your name because of your constant love and faithfulness, because you have shown that your name and your commands are supreme.

Praise the Lord, the God of Israel! Praise him now and forever! Amen! Amen!

But if you defy me, you are doomed to die. I, the Lord, have spoken.”

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

“Let us praise the Lord, the God of Israel! He has come to the help of his people and has set them free.

He promised through his holy prophets long ago

He said he would show mercy to our ancestors and remember his sacred covenant.

Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! For in our union with Christ he has blessed us by giving us every spiritual blessing in the heavenly world.

The Lord kept every one of the promises that he had made to the people of Israel.

Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! Because of his great mercy he gave us new life by raising Jesus Christ from death. This fills us with a living hope,

David said to her, “Praise the Lord, the God of Israel, who sent you today to meet me!
