But because there is so much immorality, every man should have his own wife, and every woman should have her own husband.

Find a wife and you find a good thing; it shows that the Lord is good to you.

A man can inherit a house and money from his parents, but only the Lord can give him a sensible wife.

You ask why he no longer accepts them. It is because he knows you have broken your promise to the wife you married when you were young. She was your partner, and you have broken your promise to her, although you promised before God that you would be faithful to her.

But now I tell you: if a man divorces his wife for any cause other than her unfaithfulness, then he is guilty of making her commit adultery if she marries again; and the man who marries her commits adultery also.

Avoid immorality. Any other sin a man commits does not affect his body; but the man who is guilty of sexual immorality sins against his own body.

Now, to deal with the matters you wrote about. A man does well not to marry.

A man should fulfill his duty as a husband, and a woman should fulfill her duty as a wife, and each should satisfy the other's needs.

But if you cannot restrain your desires, go ahead and marry—it is better to marry than to burn with passion.

Men ought to love their wives just as they love their own bodies. A man who loves his wife loves himself. (

But it also applies to you: every husband must love his wife as himself, and every wife must respect her husband.

Each of you should know how to live with your wife in a holy and honorable way,

Such people teach that it is wrong to marry and to eat certain foods. But God created those foods to be eaten, after a prayer of thanks, by those who are believers and have come to know the truth.

If their fathers or brothers come to you and protest, you can tell them, ‘Please let us keep them, because we did not take them from you in battle to be our wives. And since you did not give them to us, you are not guilty of breaking your promise.’”
