Good News Translation

The sons of Japheth—Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras—were the ancestors of the peoples who bear their names.

who was the father of Noah. Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

The descendants of Gomer were the people of Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.

Living among you is as bad as living in Meshech or among the people of Kedar.

You did business in Greece, Tubal, and Meshech and traded your goods for slaves and for articles of bronze.

All the fighting men of the lands of Gomer and Beth Togarmah in the north are with him, and so are men from many other nations.

The Sovereign Lord said, “Mortal man, denounce Gog, the chief ruler of the nations of Meshech and Tubal, and tell him that I am his enemy.
