But you have been our king from the beginning, O God; you have saved us many times.

May the Lord show his constant love during the day, so that I may have a song at night, a prayer to the God of my life.

Jesus noticed that the crowd was closing in on them, so he gave a command to the evil spirit. “Deaf and dumb spirit,” he said, “I order you to come out of the boy and never go into him again!”

You, O Lord, chose our protector; you, the Holy God of Israel, gave us our king.

Jesus was filled with pity, and reached out and touched him. “I do want to,” he answered. “Be clean!”

He went to her, took her by the hand, and helped her up. The fever left her, and she began to wait on them.

Be glad, Israel, because of your Creator; rejoice, people of Zion, because of your king!

All the rigging on those ships is useless; the sails cannot be spread! We will seize all the wealth of enemy armies, and there will be so much that even the lame can get a share. The Lord himself will be our king; he will rule over us and protect us.

“Your right hand, Lord, is awesome in power; it breaks the enemy in pieces.

But the Lord loved you and wanted to keep the promise that he made to your ancestors. That is why he saved you by his great might and set you free from slavery to the king of Egypt.

Remember the terrible plagues that you saw with your own eyes, the miracles and wonders, and the great power and strength by which the Lord your God set you free. In the same way that he destroyed the Egyptians, he will destroy all these people that you now fear.

As you advanced, I threw them into panic in order to drive out the two Amorite kings. Your swords and bows had nothing to do with it.

He has shown his power to his people by giving them the lands of foreigners.
