Hear me, Lord, when I call to you! Be merciful and answer me!

Look at me, O Lord my God, and answer me. Restore my strength; don't let me die.

Listen to my cry for help, my God and king! I pray to you, O Lord;

Answer me when I pray, O God, my defender! When I was in trouble, you helped me. Be kind to me now and hear my prayer.

Don't condemn me, God. Tell me! What is the charge against me?

You have changed my sadness into a joyful dance; you have taken away my sorrow and surrounded me with joy.

I am exhausted by sorrow, and weeping has shortened my life. I am weak from all my troubles; even my bones are wasting away.
