As for me, I do what is right; be merciful to me and save me!

Come to me and save me; rescue me from my enemies.

Declare me innocent, O Lord, because I do what is right and trust you completely.

You are our witnesses, and so is God, that our conduct toward you who believe was pure, right, and without fault.

He gave himself for us, to rescue us from all wickedness and to make us a pure people who belong to him alone and are eager to do good.

They both lived good lives in God's sight and obeyed fully all the Lord's laws and commands.

“Remember, Lord, that I have served you faithfully and loyally, and that I have always tried to do what you wanted me to.” And he began to cry bitterly.

But God will rescue me; he will save me from the power of death.

We can never redeem ourselves; we cannot pay God the price for our lives,

There was a man named Job, living in the land of Uz, who worshiped God and was faithful to him. He was a good man, careful not to do anything evil.

I arranged for the wood used for burning the offerings to be brought at the proper times, and for the people to bring their offerings of the first grain and the first fruits that ripened. Remember all this, O God, and give me credit for it.

I ordered the Levites to purify themselves and to go and guard the gates to make sure that the Sabbath was kept holy. Remember me, O God, for this also, and spare me because of your great love.

Remember, my God, all these things that I have done for your Temple and its worship.

Every governor who had been in office before me had been a burden to the people and had demanded forty silver coins a day for food and wine. Even their servants had oppressed the people. But I acted differently, because I honored God.

My conduct will be faultless. When will you come to me? I will live a pure life in my house
