Huge hailstones, each weighing as much as a hundred pounds, fell from the sky on people, who cursed God on account of the plague of hail, because it was such a terrible plague.

But the Lord sent a strong wind on the sea, and the storm was so violent that the ship was in danger of breaking up.

I had another vision from the Sovereign Lord. In it I saw him preparing to punish his people with fire. The fire burned up the great ocean under the earth and started to burn up the land.

God is the one who made the mountains and created the winds. He makes his thoughts known to people; he changes day into night. He walks on the heights of the earth. This is his name: the Lord God Almighty!

“I will give warnings of that day in the sky and on the earth; there will be bloodshed, fire, and clouds of smoke.

By fire and sword he will punish all the people of the world whom he finds guilty—and many will be put to death.

Praise the Lord, you strong and mighty angels, who obey his commands, who listen to what he says.

Hailstones and flashes of fire came from the lightning before him and broke through the dark clouds.

While the Amorites were running down the pass from the Israelite army, the Lord made large hailstones fall down on them all the way to Azekah. More were killed by the hailstones than by the Israelites.

Then the Lord sent a fire that blazed out and burned up the 250 men who had presented the incense.

Suddenly the Lord sent fire, and it burned them to death there in the presence of the Lord.

So Moses raised his stick, and the Lord caused a wind from the east to blow on the land all that day and all that night. By morning it had brought the locusts.

Suddenly the Lord rained burning sulfur on the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah

as they move at God's will. They do all that God commands, everywhere throughout the world.

The sailors were terrified and cried out for help, each one to his own god. Then, in order to lessen the danger, they threw the cargo overboard. Meanwhile, Jonah had gone below and was lying in the ship's hold, sound asleep.
