I am listening to what the Lord God is saying; he promises peace to us, his own people, if we do not go back to our foolish ways.

Moses presented their case to the Lord,

For I received from the Lord the teaching that I passed on to you: that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took a piece of bread,

My conscience is clear, but that does not prove that I am really innocent. The Lord is the one who passes judgment on me.

For I have not held back from announcing to you the whole purpose of God.

I gave them the message that you gave me, and they received it; they know that it is true that I came from you, and they believe that you sent me.

Whoever is willing to do what God wants will know whether what I teach comes from God or whether I speak on my own authority.

“Mortal man,” he said, “I am making you a lookout for the nation of Israel. You will pass on to them the warnings I give you.

You will tell them whatever I tell you to say, whether they listen or not. Remember what rebels they are.

The Lord is the friend of those who obey him and he affirms his covenant with them.

You will not have to fight this battle. Just take up your positions and wait; you will see the Lord give you victory. People of Judah and Jerusalem, do not hesitate or be afraid. Go out to battle, and the Lord will be with you!”

Moses answered, “Don't be afraid! Stand your ground, and you will see what the Lord will do to save you today; you will never see these Egyptians again.

Moses answered, “I must do this because the people come to me to learn God's will.

and said, “We are unclean because we have touched a corpse, but why should we be excluded from presenting the Lord's offering with the rest of the Israelites?”
