This is the daily offering that is completely burned, which was first offered at Mount Sinai as a food offering, an odor pleasing to the Lord.

“People of Israel, I did not demand sacrifices and offerings during those forty years that I led you through the desert.

Also an offering of five pounds of flour is to be made every morning, along with one quart of olive oil for mixing with the flour. The rules for this offering to the Lord are to be in force forever.

The lamb, the flour, and the olive oil are to be offered to the Lord every morning forever.”

These are the commands that the Lord gave Moses on Mount Sinai for the people of Israel.
