God is not like people, who lie; He is not a human who changes his mind. Whatever he promises, he does; He speaks, and it is done.

Israel's majestic God does not lie or change his mind. He is not a human being—he does not change his mind.”

Every good gift and every perfect present comes from heaven; it comes down from God, the Creator of the heavenly lights, who does not change or cause darkness by turning.

But Jesus became a priest by means of a vow when God said to him, “The Lord has made a solemn promise and will not take it back: ‘You will be a priest forever.’”

Don't think that there is no truth in the scripture that says, “The spirit that God placed in us is filled with fierce desires.”

Remember, I will be with you and protect you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done all that I have promised you.”

I swear that I will do this to you wicked people who have gathered together against me. Here in the wilderness every one of you will die. I, the Lord, have spoken.’”

All this did happen to King Nebuchadnezzar.

Live here, and I will be with you and bless you. I am going to give all this territory to you and to your descendants. I will keep the promise I made to your father Abraham.

So the promise was fulfilled which the Lord had made to King Jehu: “Your descendants down to the fourth generation will be kings of Israel.”

Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has anger taken the place of his compassion?”

You made a solemn promise to David— a promise you will not take back: “I will make one of your sons king, and he will rule after you.
