Then Jesus looked up to heaven, gave a deep groan, and said to the man, “Ephphatha,” which means, “Open up!”

They took the stone away. Jesus looked up and said, “I thank you, Father, that you listen to me.

Then Jesus took the five loaves and the two fish, looked up to heaven, and gave thanks to God. He broke the loaves and gave them to his disciples to distribute to the people. He also divided the two fish among them all.

He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha, koum,” which means, “Little girl, I tell you to get up!”

“Aeneas,” Peter said to him, “Jesus Christ makes you well. Get up and make your bed.” At once Aeneas got up.

Jesus saw her weeping, and he saw how the people with her were weeping also; his heart was touched, and he was deeply moved.

At three o'clock Jesus cried out with a loud shout, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabachthani?” which means, “My God, my God, why did you abandon me?”

But Jesus gave a deep groan and said, “Why do the people of this day ask for a miracle? No, I tell you! No such proof will be given to these people!”

Peter put them all out of the room, and knelt down and prayed; then he turned to the body and said, “Tabitha, get up!” She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

After he had said this, he called out in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”

Our High Priest is not one who cannot feel sympathy for our weaknesses. On the contrary, we have a High Priest who was tempted in every way that we are, but did not sin.

After Jesus finished saying this, he looked up to heaven and said, “Father, the hour has come. Give glory to your Son, so that the Son may give glory to you.

Deeply moved once more, Jesus went to the tomb, which was a cave with a stone placed at the entrance.

He came closer to the city, and when he saw it, he wept over it,

Jesus said to him, “Then see! Your faith has made you well.”

Then he walked over and touched the coffin, and the men carrying it stopped. Jesus said, “Young man! Get up, I tell you!”

Jesus was filled with pity, and reached out and touched him. “I do want to,” he answered. “Be clean!”

We despised him and rejected him; he endured suffering and pain. No one would even look at him— we ignored him as if he were nothing.

Years later the king of Egypt died, but the Israelites were still groaning under their slavery and cried out for help. Their cry went up to God,

At once the man was able to hear, his speech impediment was removed, and he began to talk without any trouble.
