At once Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he said to them, “Why do you think such things?

Repent, then, of this evil plan of yours, and pray to the Lord that he will forgive you for thinking such a thing as this.

Any scheme a fool thinks up is sinful. People hate a person who has nothing but scorn for others.

The Lord hates evil thoughts, but he is pleased with friendly words.
