Mark 1:21

Good News Translation (US Version)

Jesus and his disciples came to the town of Capernaum, and on the next Sabbath Jesus went to the synagogue and began to teach.

On the Sabbath he began to teach in the synagogue. Many people were there; and when they heard him, they were all amazed. “Where did he get all this?” they asked. “What wisdom is this that has been given him? How does he perform miracles?

So he traveled all over Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and driving out demons.

Jesus went all over Galilee, teaching in the synagogues, preaching the Good News about the Kingdom, and healing people who had all kinds of disease and sickness.

According to his usual habit Paul went to the synagogue. There during three Sabbaths he held discussions with the people, quoting

He held discussions in the synagogue every Sabbath, trying to convince both Jews and Greeks.

He did not stay in Nazareth, but went to live in Capernaum, a town by Lake Galilee, in the territory of Zebulun and Naphtali.

One Sabbath Jesus was teaching in a synagogue.

And as for you, Capernaum! Did you want to lift yourself up to heaven? You will be thrown down to hell!”

Then Jesus went to Nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the Sabbath he went as usual to the synagogue. He stood up to read the Scriptures

Then Jesus left that place, went to the province of Judea, and crossed the Jordan River. Crowds came flocking to him again, and he taught them, as he always did.

A few days later Jesus went back to Capernaum, and the news spread that he was at home.

As soon as Jesus saw them, he called them; they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired men and went with Jesus.

Jesus and his disciples, including James and John, left the synagogue and went straight to the home of Simon and Andrew.

All the people of the town gathered in front of the house.

Then Jesus went back to the synagogue, where there was a man who had a paralyzed hand.

He said to them, “I am sure that you will quote this proverb to me, ‘Doctor, heal yourself.’ You will also tell me to do here in my hometown the same things you heard were done in Capernaum.
