As Jesus walked along the shore of Lake Galilee, he saw two fishermen, Simon and his brother Andrew, catching fish with a net.
Another one of his disciples, Andrew, who was Simon Peter's brother, said,
Simon (whom he named Peter) and his brother Andrew; James and John, Philip and Bartholomew,
They entered the city and went up to the room where they were staying: Peter, John, James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James son of Alphaeus, Simon the Patriot, and Judas son of James.
Philip went and told Andrew, and the two of them went and told Jesus.

These are the twelve he chose: Simon (Jesus gave him the name Peter);
