But he would go away to lonely places, where he prayed.

At that time Jesus went up a hill to pray and spent the whole night there praying to God.

After sending the people away, he went up a hill by himself to pray. When evening came, Jesus was there alone;

After saying good-bye to the people, he went away to a hill to pray.

Jesus knew that they were about to come and seize him in order to make him king by force; so he went off again to the hills by himself.

After all the people had been baptized, Jesus also was baptized. While he was praying, heaven was opened,

About a week after he had said these things, Jesus took Peter, John, and James with him and went up a hill to pray.

While he was praying, his face changed its appearance, and his clothes became dazzling white.
